Russian Fairy Tale Adventure: Reading Quest

A playful literacy quest based on the famous Russian folk tale “Geese-Swans.” Children set off on a magical adventure to reach Baba Yaga’s hut and rescue their brother Ivanushka! Along the way they’ll meet fairy-tale helpers — the Oven (that bakes bread), the Apple Tree (that offers fruit), and the River (that gives shelter) — who will challenge them with fun reading tasks.

This program is held in Russian and designed especially for bilingual children ages 4–10 who speak Russian at home. Kids will practice their reading skills, earn game tokens, and join a lively prize auction at the end.

Participation formats:

• Individual — for children ages 4 to 10. Tasks are adjusted to each child’s level.

• Team — for a group of three children (6+). Some stations include special group challenges so kids can work together and help each other. Teams can be formed in advance or on site.
